Integrated EPOS solution
Guardian is a PCI compliant card processing module that provides a simple interface for EPOS integration which dramatically reduces the cost and complexity of the software integration process. With very little resource commitment, the EPOS software house can achieve a fully functioning and fully integrated card processing solution. Guardian supports processing of credit/debit cards, gift cards and fuel cards.
Guardian can operate in 2 distinct modes, integrated pinpad and integrated terminal. The EPOS till can switch between both modes through the Guardian configuration interface.
Integrated PinPad
In integrated pinpad mode, a supported pinpad is serially connected to the EPOS till. All receipt printing can be done by Guardian on the configured receipt printer connected to the till. All communications between Guardian and Sagepay's hosting environment are fully encrypted to PCI standards.
Integrated Terminal
In integrated terminal mode, the EPOS till is connected to a fully functioning, PCI compliant, IP terminal. Guardian will drive the transaction request out to the terminal. The terminal will then prompt for card insertion etc., connect to Sagepay's hosting environment, attempt to authorise the transaction, print receipts and then respond to Guardian indicating the outcome of the transaction. No PCI sensitive data is passed between the terminal and Guardian.
