Payment security improved with new payment module

Creative digital agency Pod1 has partnered with Sage Pay to develop a new payment application module for Magento, the open source e-commerce software platform. The module includes inFrame technology and has been designed to make PCI DSS compliance easier for all retailers on the Magento platform.

One of the main challenges e-commerce merchants face is the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), which is a set of guidelines designed to protect customer card details from fraudulent use.

‘Becoming compliant is often time-consuming and can be extremely expensive, so a payment solution that mitigates risk and reduces cost is a priority for many e-commerce businesses,’ said Roy Rubin, CEO of Varien, the Magento company. This new module removes the need for a full audit and reduces the PCI DSS overhead to a bare minimum. It is a fundamentally more secure method of online payment and will result in added peace of mind for both the retailer and the buying customer.’
